Fit To Be Tried

When the busy holiday season starts one of the greatest blessings to a homemaker is the….CROCKPOT. Just spend twenty minutes in the morning to have a peaceful dinner later. Here are a few recipes that you’ll want to try.
Basic Crockpot Roast
INGREDIENTS:
2 pounds Sirloin Tip Roast (or comparable cut of meat)
8 Carrots, cut in half
3 Onions, quarted
Salt, pepper and Mrs. Dash
1 Can stewed tomatoes
6 Potatoes, quartered
4 Stalks celery, halved
4 Cloves garlic, whole
PREPARATION: Put the roast, carrots, onions, potatoes, celery and garlic in the crockpot. Sprinkle the salt, pepper and Mrs. Dash over the meat. Pour the stewed tomatos over it all. Cook on low all day, 8 – 12 hours. This works great as a Sunday lunch idea. Put it in Sautrday night and by Sunday lunch it’s all ready!
