The Secret To A Clean Kitchen

I have had my ups and downs as the keeper of my home. I’ve worked hard and gotten the house clean, only to have it look like a junk tornado came through a week later. I needed HELP!
A few weeks ago my husband and kids pitched in and we got the house CLEAN. But, that’s been done before. What is going to make this time any different? How do I know we aren’t going to slip back into old habits and make our home a mess… AGAIN?!
I think I may have the answer to a cleaner house and a happy Mama…
A Shiny Sink.
Seems simple, right?
Not so fast! That means that I’ll be cleaning up the kitchen after each meal including shining the sink.
It’s been clean for weeks now and I just want to say… there’s nothing like waking up to a shiny sink and clean kitchen to make me feel like I’m ready to tackle the day!
Give it a try and see what a difference a shiny sink can make!

Oh Laryssa….I so agree. In our home my 2 young boys have the task of washing the dishes after every evening meal. They don’t necessarily like it; BUT they do it!! The problem with that is they don’t like doing big pots!!! So my challenge is to clean up after them. But I agree that it is so nice to wake up to that clean kitchen…it truly gets the day off on the right track!!!

Boy, did this ever resonate with me this morning. I was just telling my husband last night, “I feel like I’m just spinning my wheels every day!” No matter the work I put in to areas X,Y,Z of my life, I just have to turn around and do it all over again…forever! Maybe a shiny sink would help my attitude
Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaivng such a sweet comment. It was nice to hear from you

Such a simple, profound solution! Mother (turning 89 in April)used to do the same thing when I was growing up…make sure the sink was clean the next morning when she got up! I never put it together, but it makes sense; I’ll head in that direction. Thanks for the insight!

I’ve been a flylady devotee for years – and the shiny sink is the best thing ever to happen to a kitchen. I’m glad you have discovered it.
My greatest tip is about Vitamin E
Have a great day!

The thing that really helps me is clearing the countertop and putting everything in the dishwasher. An empty kitchen countertop, now that’s a nice beginnning too. It’s just my husband and myself in our household but it’s amazing how it fills up during the day..
