Works For Me Wednesday: You Tube Education
Welcome to an unusual Works For Me Wednesday! We use the internet, especially videos, to supplement our regular studies. There are so many great educational videos that bring your current topic to life….and what kid won’t like getting to watch videos on the computer?!
(Just a tip: Because of the nasty content of some videos on You Tube, be sure to stay with your kids while they watch these videos. The video you’re watching will be clean, but after it’s over other small screen video options could pop up.)

Just this week, my daughter missed the math lesson, so we used You Tube to teach us how to multiply a fraction by a whole number. Very cool!

I also use youtube. It’s great especially for science and history videos. Alot of what the history channel puts out can be found on youtube. it’s really great supplementing for visuals

What a great idea. I know there are a lot of fun and funny YouTube videos but I never considered it for education. Thanks!

Flowerpot,
I’m glad I’m not the only one that uses You Tube for extra education! Thanks for the comment!
Noel,
We cut off our cable about 2 years ago and have never looked back. I don’t even miss it! But I am glad that You Tube has most of the programs that we would have watched. There are also a lot of good science podcasts as well.
Julie,
Thanks for the comment! Come and visit again soon.
