We Are A Family Of Five!
It’s a girl!!!
And she’s 89 years old.
This is our big news. My maternal Grandmother came to live with us last Saturday and we are so happy. It has been a lot of work getting her things moved and settling everyone in. But, all the hard work is worth it when I see her laughing with the children. She is still doing great and is awesome at sweeping and cleaning the kitchen. We are enjoying hearing stories of when she was little and eating our meals together as a family.

I will keep posting as I can, but I wanted you all to know what has been happening lately. We are so happy to have our precious Gradmother here with us.

Grandma’s are the best. The most memorable thing my grandma ever said to me was when I told her how beautiful she is. She looked at me and said it was because Jesus lives in her heart.

What a wonderful opportunity for your family! My mother will turn 80 this month and I would love it if she lived near so we could see her everyday! Enjoy every moment!

What a precious way to announce this beautiful grandmother’s coming to live with your family. She looks so sweet.
I’m continually amazed at the diversity, warmth, talent, faith, and inspiration, that can be found in the community of Christian bloggers. God bless!

What a blessing! This will be one of the greatest times of your life. Even when it’s hard, the payoff is amazing. I’ve been there. Lisa~

Just happened onto your blog via Nesting Place. When I saw this I just had to post simply to say how wonderful it is you have opened your home! My Gramma will be 90 next month and she lived with us for a while as well. It took some adjusting but we knew it was the right thing to do. Sad to say, she is living in an Assisted Living facility now but we knew it was time :0). She LOVES it and is still close enough so we can see her several times a week.
In a day when children and the elderly are truly not cherished it is refreshing to see how you have opened your heart and home to her! God’s blessings on you :0).

I think that is just wonderful–a gift from you, and a gift from her to your children. We had an elderly aunt recuperating at my house most of the summer and we ended up being more blessed than she was.
