About

Hello there! I am Amelia Cox, a 27-year-old architect with a knack for interior design. I live in Windsor with my furry friends, Sia and Mell.

People often ask me how I got into writing about design. Let me tell you –I’m passionate about creating beautiful spaces that evoke emotions and tell stories and I feel that there is no better way to acquaint people with what I do than describing the process in words.

From writing about the tiniest details to the grandest visions of a house, I can pour my heart onto the paper: I wield a pen and let my imagination run wild! So come along for the ride and know me up close.

Flashback

So, what exactly led me to pursue this career? Let’s take a trip down memory lane, when I was just a wee lass of 5 years old. Like most other girls my age, I had a wooden dollhouse with three levels and six rooms, accompanied by 16 pieces of wooden furniture. While in the beginning, I was content with shuffling the tiny furniture pieces around, I slowly started pondering if I can do more than just this. And there I was changing the dollhouse inch by inch with brushstrokes –  painting the floors, walls, and roofs –  and adding handcrafted items.

Before I even knew it, I had already gotten myself hooked on remodeling and crafting miniature houses. At the age of 10, I created my first 2-level, 3-rooms, cardboard miniature house with a lawn and a backyard.

And…there was no going back…

I had already chosen my purpose in life. I wanted to become a person who turns visions into reality; bricks and cement into homes!
